Business Development Intern
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Generation
Identify and qualify new business leads across platforms like LinkedIn, Apollo, Upwork, social media, email campaigns, cold calling, and networking events.
Implement effective lead generation strategies to maintain a consistent pipeline.
Use CRM tools to manage leads, schedule follow-ups, and track opportunities.
2. Client Acquisition & Sales
Handle the complete sales cycle: from prospecting and outreach to presentations, demos, negotiations, and closing deals.
Create tailored sales pitches and proposals aligned with client pain points.
Build and nurture strong client relationships for long-term growth and repeat business.
3. Market Research & Strategy
Analyze industry trends, market demands, and competitor activities.
Identify high-potential markets and customer segments.
Share strategic insights to enhance service offerings and marketing efforts.
4. Collaboration & Reporting
Work closely with the marketing and product teams to align outreach and branding.
Maintain accurate and timely reports on leads, pipeline progress, client feedback, and performance metrics.
Track and contribute to team and individual KPIs.
5. Customer Relationship Management
Facilitate smooth onboarding for new clients and ensure post-sale support.
Develop and maintain lasting client relationships to encourage retention, upselling, and cross-selling.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (or pursuing) in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Prior experience or internship in business development/sales (preferably in IT/software services).
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with CRM tools and sales automation platforms.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and eager to learn.
