We are looking for a Counsellor who can effectively communicate with candidates/students, understand their career goals and requirements, and guide them toward suitable learning and career opportunities.

Job Summary

As a Counsellor, you will be responsible for communicating with students, candidates, and prospective clients, understanding their goals and interests, providing appropriate guidance, explaining available programs and opportunities, and maintaining regular follow-ups. The ideal candidate should have strong communication, counselling, relationship-building, and convincing skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel students/candidates through phone calls, online meetings, and in-person interactions.
• Understand individual goals, interests, skills, and career aspirations.
• Provide appropriate guidance based on the candidate’s requirements and interests.
• Explain courses, programs, eligibility, fees, career opportunities, and other relevant information.
• Handle queries related to courses, admissions, programs, and career options.
• Conduct regular follow-ups with interested candidates.
• Maintain accurate records of counselling sessions, leads, follow-ups, and interactions.
• Convert qualified leads into admissions/enrollments where applicable.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with students, candidates, and parents.
• Coordinate with internal teams regarding admissions, enrollment, and candidate requirements.
• Achieve assigned counselling, follow-up, and conversion targets.
• Maintain a professional and supportive approach while interacting with candidates.
• Provide regular updates to the reporting manager regarding leads, follow-ups, and conversions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field.
• 0–2 years of experience in Counselling, Admissions, Telecalling, Sales, Recruitment, or Customer Relationship Management.
• Freshers with excellent communication skills are welcome to apply.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and active listening skills.
• Good convincing and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to understand candidate requirements and provide suitable guidance.
• Target-oriented and self-motivated approach.
• Good follow-up and relationship-management skills.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office / Google Workspace.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

What you'll do

• Own delivery for client-facing web, mobile, AI, cloud or digital transformation work based on the role.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, QA and client stakeholders through discovery, build, launch and support.
• Write clear documentation, communicate risks early and keep delivery quality high.
• Contribute to reusable engineering practices, reviews and mentoring inside the WebSenor team.
